William Herbert Dunton (1878–1936) was an American painter, illustrator, and member of the Taos Society of Artists, known for his significant contributions to Western art during the early 20th century. Born in Augusta, Maine, Dunton's artistic talent emerged early, and he later studied at the Art Students League in New York City.
